About Citizens for Responsible Growth

Who We Are
We are your friends, neighbors and residents living around the Wyoming Springs and RM620 area in
Williamson County, Texas that are affected by common issues concerning our community (but you
can live anywhere in Round Rock or Williamson County and unite with us).

Our Vision
To enhance and protect the character of our communities through open communication with
government bodies and officials, to further the common good and general welfare of our
neighborhoods by controlled growth from city expansion, and to sponsor publications, community
events, and other activities that further reflect our wishes and intent.

Our Mission
To ensure that any changes that are done to the area where we live, by private enterprise, the city of
Round Rock, Williamson County and/or the State of Texas, through road improvements, construction
projects and land usage, are acceptable to the residents in our neighborhoods and enhance our
quality of life.

What We Want
We oppose the City of Round Rock forcing its expansion into our community through their planned
extension of Creek Bend Blvd., and feel that it brings with it immense traffic congestion problems for
our residents, and safety issues concerning the blue ribbon Fern Bluff Elementary school that our
children attend.  We further specifically oppose this project if it would be implemented prior to an
expansion of Wyoming Springs Drive from two lanes to four lanes, and consideration for the traffic
congestion on RM620.

This planned development is inconsistent with the community's Vision and Values, and not the kind
of growth most of our neighbors would support.
C4RG continues to call upon the Round Rock City
Council to revoke current plans of connecting Creek Bend Blvd. into Brightwater Drive by construction
across private property owned by the Sauls family for over 140 years through use of eminent domain,
and look to other potential locations for building a north/south connection.  We agree that a
north/south connective route could be developed to allow quicker access for those living in the
RR3406 area to Round Rock Hospital, RM620 and SH45, but not to the detriment of our
neighborhoods.  There are alternative routes which would not endanger homes and schools.

As our community represents citizens of both the City of Round Rock and Williamson County, we
expect considerate, open and continual communication on all aspects of these types of projects
from both city and county officials, and we seek community involvement in planning with these
government entities on any efforts such as this one.
C4RG is willing to work toward establishing a
partnership with the City of Round Rock and Williamson County to develop a solution for our area
that serves the character and needs of the surrounding neighborhoods.

C4RG sponsors educational events, will work with local governments to develop solid plans,
encourages community participation in local government, and takes action to protect the community
interest.
